This article has no possible subject for a title. Write an introduction to an informative and factual blog post titled "How to Fold a Shirt". ## The internet is full of articles with different folding techniques. Should I fold all the way? Folding the sleeves first or last? In my opinion, the best approach is as follows: 1) Take your shirt out of its packaging and unfold it. If you're going to iron your shirt before you wear it, press it now with a steamer or a clothes iron with steam function on cotton setting. 2) Start by folding the bottom up, then fold in half vertically. This is difficult to explain with words, so here's a good link. If you're planning on getting it professionally dry cleaned when you get home, lay the shirt flat on a clean surface (don't put it on your bed!) and iron out any wrinkles. If not, use an ironing board instead. 3) Fold the shirt again so its' edge is right on top of your stomach button. Pin it together with clothes pins. 4) Iron the shirt, pressing each side with all your weight, until you have a nice shiny crease. You can do this by holding the shirt hanger vertically under your arm, leaning forward and using minimal pressure to iron through both sides of the shirt at once. One trick for getting garments to fold really neatly is to tuck them into a t-shirt bag or pillowcase, drape over a chair or hang on a hanger before ironing! 5) Unpin all clothespins and slowly start to open the shirt, one side at a time. As you open each side, use your hands to press the fabric into shape. Start with the bottom half first because this is easiest for your muscles. 6) Continue opening the shirt until both sides are parallel to each other. If you're folding the sleeves last, leave them right over your shoulders. Your arms should be positioned so that each finger points straight outwards at right angles, like a finger pointing out of a triangle. Only rotate one finger out of place and iron the whole thing again before working on the other side.7) Turn your shirt inside out and fold it up so it's lengthwise along its' width (and looks like an unrolled sheet of paper). Iron along the crease line. Then, roll the shirt up like you would an American flag (or like how you'd roll up a sleeping bag). Again, hold the hanger vertically under your arm and use minimal pressure to iron through both sides of the shirt. If you're wearing it with a tank top underneath, leave one end of the shirt outside of the hanger for easy access to your tank top's shoulder strap. 8) Congratulations! You've now arrive at your destination! Your shirt is neatly folded and ready to wear!
